Don Anderson passed away quietly at Mathews House Hospice in Alliston, Ontario on April 18, 2015 at the age of 85.
Survived by his wife of 59 years, Jane and children David (Heather), Keith (Valerie), Janet-Lee (Mark), Mary-Ellen (Michael); Grandpa to Amber, William and Connor Anderson, Robin, Ian, Myles, Kellyn, Jacob, Julie Anderson, Natalie Ruston, Abbie and Zoë Carnahan; Great Grandfather to Tianna and Sophie Anderson; and his brother Kent (Sheryl) Anderson. He will be sadly missed by sister-in-law, Beth Clark and many nieces and nephews and surviving members of “The Gang” from Fairlawn United Church. Of special note, Don was affectionately known as “Uncle Don” and will be remembered fondly by countless numbers of people associated with Camps Illahee and Huronda from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held at Drury Funeral Centre, 519 Victoria Street East, Alliston, on Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 2-5 p.m. with a time of Reflection at 2:30 p.m.
