It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Charlie Seath passed away yesterday, March 5th. Charlie began teaching Physical Education at Thornhill Secondary School in the 1950s and his involvement in the school never stopped. Charlie was an integral part of Thornhill’s historic 50th Anniversary Reunion in 2004. At last year’s 60th Anniversary celebration, Charlie was in attendance as alumni and students put on the “Health’s-A-Poppin'” variety show, the beloved event he created at the school almost 60 years ago. For nearly a decade, the Charlie Seath Award has been presented annually to junior students who displayed the strong school spirit that meant so much to him. Charlie was an incredible teacher, coach and administrator, and a great friend to the school and the community. He will be dearly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Charlie’s family.
